PVFD Training Alert - Mayday - 6/13/09

Mayday (Firefighter down) will occur at the burn building at the Leesburg Training Center, across from the Leesburg Airport on Sunday at 1:30PM (6/13/09). Training will include the Denver drill

Droppingplates will be on site to film the action.

PVFD Fire Sale

The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department is offering all the furniture, crockery and equipment that didn't make the move to the new safety center at a yard sale,

7 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13, at the old firehouse at 200 N. Maple Ave.

The PVFD's new home

The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department has moved to its new home in the new Purcellville Safety Center at the corner of North Maple Ave. and Hirst Road. After a brief ceremony, the air horn was sounded for the last time. All the vehicles exited the old building one last time and in parade fashion, proceeded to the new building.

Purcellville VFD, Hamilton VFD & Round Hill FD were on scene to deal with a HazMat issue, apparently occuring at the Purcellville Propane establishment around 6:00 PM, Tuseday evening. No further information has been provided.
